July 4, 1955. ST. ALBANS, VT. July 4, 1955 FIRE IN WASTE CAN SPREADS; BURNS WALL IN ST. ALBANS. The fire department was called to 50 Congress St. Saturday around 10 a.m. to extinguish a fire in the home of Miss Mavis Fields. A waste paper basket had caught fire and the flames spread to a partition. The property is owned by Mrs. Herb Sullivan. The trucks returned about 20 minutes after putting out the fire. PERSONALS. Mrs. P. L. Keegan ,and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kearney of Detroit, Mich., are spending the weekend at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. William Coleman, of North Main St., and Mrs. Victor Lampman of Fairfield St. Mr. and Mrs. H. Hilderbrandt of New York city are spending the weekend with their son, Walter Hilderbrandt of Fairfield St. Mr. and Mrs. Duaine Blanchard, son and daughter of Stoneham, Mass., and Dr. and Mrs. MacDonald McKee and four children of Glens Falls, N.Y., are spending the weekend at the home of Mrs. Grace Start of Fairfield St. Carol Titemore, USN, of New York spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Titemore of Fairfield St. Attorney James J. Mahot and family of Scarsdale, N.Y., are occupying the Louis Smart cottage at Sampson Point for the summer.
