He was born June 12, 1760. He died after 1833 and before 1843. He enlisted April 1, 1778, before he was eighteen years of age, in Captain Solomon Cushman's company, Colonel Timothy Bedel's New Hampshire regiment. He was discharged at the end of his tour and enlisted again in the spring of 1780 in a company commanded by Captain Jesse Safford. Colonel Benjamin Wait commanded the regiment. He married Jemima, ______.September, 1793. She was born in 1766. She survived her husband and applied for a widow's pension June 24, 1843. They had two sons, one had died by 1843 but in that year one of the sons, Stephen Bugbee, who was born September 2. 1800, was living in Newbury, Vermont.
