Waits River
Passed from this life Friday morning, September 8, after a brief illness, 
Eliza Ann, wife of S.F. Locke.  The last sad services were held in the church 
Sunday, about 300 persons being present to pay their last tribute of respect 
to her memory.  The services were conducted by Rev. William Paul of West 
Fairlee, an old friend of the family.  Scripture reading by Rev. E.S. 
Cudworth.  "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and other selections were rendered by the 
choir.  The floral tributes were many and beautiful.  The potted plants were 
tastefully arranged.  The afflicted family have the sympathy of a wide circle 
of relatives and friends, and left to them are precious memories.  "And as one 
whom his mother comforteth so will I comfort you."
