They all agreed to come back to settle. Captain Moses ELKINS and a young son did come, followed by his wife and baby on horseback, led by a hired man. they made a camp in Potton, Quebec, [today part of Troy, VT] but on the approach of winter they went [over Jay Peak] to Richford, VT, to stay during that time."
