Foster (speaks of land owned, etc.)   The Capt. Foster Hotel is now the site of the US Customs in Derby Line   William S. Foster was postmaster 1868 appt' PG. 182 Stephen Foster, son of Stephen and Mary King Foster came to Derby Line in 1828 (b. in Montpelier 1806) His son = William Foster     Austin Theophilus Foster (son of Stephen and Mary also)   John Gilman Foster - son of Austin T, Foster more info. abt. these men on pages.   There is a lengthy story abt. the John Gilman Foster family - who was born in 1859.
