Book Title: Derby History Book By The Hay Sisters

On pg. 34 Chapter 8 - Qualified as Freemen 1798-1811 - taking oath required by law
March 27, 1799 - were Isaac Severance and James Severance - also a John Severans    
    

pg. 13   The Ryan Farm (in 1967) overlooking Lake Salem   for many yrs. owned by the
Severens family of whose ancestor, Nathaniel Sevrens, came from NH in 1832 and
settled on the west shore of the lake. 

In a letter received from his granddaughter, Mrs.Glen Sevrens Morrill, was a letter
which she had written to VT Life Magazine after its Autumn 1952 published the story
of the hidden treasure - names mentioned - Caroline and George N. Sevrens.
