"William A. POWERS of Charleston, Orleans County, Vermont, enlisted 25 Sept. 1861,
mustered in 19 Oct. 1861, 3rd Regiment, Company D, re-enlisted Dec. 21, 1863;
wounded May 10, 1864 in Spotsylvania, Va.; and deserted July 15, 1864."
