John Howard, mail carrier on Route No.4 is in the Rutland hospital for treatment. Robert Ketchum is substituting for him during his illness. Gale Parmalee has gone to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., after spending a week at his former home here. A daughter, Kathleen Mannette, was born Wednesday to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warner. Bernard Belden is ill with quinsy, at his home north of the village. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bancroft have returned to Brattleboro after being guests of relatives in town several days. Mrs. Jerry Trombley, who was severely burned on the face and upper part of the body, when she fainted and fell, upsetting a kettle of hot lard, one day last week,is getting along as well as can be expected. Romaine Fuller, who has been in Rochester several weeks, has returned and is with his daughter, Mrs. Charles Chandler. Mr. and Mrs.Rollin Parmalee, whose marriage was recently announced, have returned from Brattleboro and are with relatives in Brandon. Mrs. Parmalee was formerly Miss Evelyn Hascall and is a sister of Mrs. William Morrell of Bresee Mills. Mr. Parmalee is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Parmalee.
