Cards have been received here, announcing the marriage of Miss Mary Eveline Powers to James Brooks farmer, both of Sioux City, IA. The wedding took place in Vermilion, S. D., on Saturday June 25. Mr. and Mrs. Farmer will live in Sioux City. Miss Powers was the daughter of Mrs. James Palmer, formerly of this place, and is a niece of R. C. Smith. A pretty, but quiet wedding took place June 26 at St. Alphonsus church at Pittsford Mills when Mrs. Winifred Tennien of Pittsford Mills was married to John J. Brown of Rutland. Rev. J. C. Lynch officiated and only immediate relatives were present. Miss Mary Morrison of Rutland was bridesmaid and Frank Phalen also of Rutland acted as best man. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride's home. Mr. and Mrs. Brown will live at Pittsford Mills for the present. Miss Cornelia A. King went to South Hadley, Mass., Saturday, where she is to be the guest of relatives for a few weeks. Mrs. Richard Mooney and her two sons, Andrew and Raymond, with Miss Dorothy Brown of this place, have returned home after spending a two weeks' outing at Long Point, Lake Champlain. Mrs. F. S. Bishop and son Royden, spent the day Wednesday in town at the home of Mrs. S. B. Loveland on their way home from Lake Dunmore. Mr. and Mrs. I. Scott Hall, who recently moved here from Clarendon, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary last Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Bogue. Friends from this place, Rutland and Clarendon were present. Miss Rosa Katz of Milwaukee, Wis., is the guest of Mrs. G. Frank Hendee. A wedding took place at St. Alphonsus church at Pittsford Mills Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock when Miss Marie Perroni of this place was married to Lucas Funaro of Rutland. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. J. Long of Proctor. The bride wore gray messaline and a large gray hat with a white plume. The bridesmaid, Miss Catherine Perroni, a sister of the bride, wore a tan colored gown with a hat of the same shade. Mr. and Mrs. Funaro will live at Center Rutland. He is in business in Rutland.
