Daily Herald May 22, 1914 Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Fri. May 22, 1914. PITTSFORD, VT. The breach of promise suit of Miss Sally Perkins of Slab city against George Casey of this town will be tried at the town hall this evening at 8 o'clock. At present the wagering is 3 to 2 on Sally. A musical program will also be rendered. There will be dancing after the entertainment until 12 o'clock. Miss Lucy A. Holden, who has been in Boston during the past year, returned to her home here Wednesday for the summer. Thomas H. Candon has returned from Montague City, Mass., where he went with George Chaffee of Rutland to attend a sale of Jersey cattle at A. C. Burham's stock farm. The trip was made by automobile. Mr. Candon purchased some new stock. About 25 friends gave Mr.and Mrs. Frank Bassett a surprise party at their home on the Plains Wednesday evening, the occasion being their birthday. Dancing was enjoyed and refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Rev. E. P. Treat, Mr. and Mrs.R. E. Loveland and Mrs. E. W.
