GRADED SCHOOL NEWS -Miss Mary Hogan visited friends in East Poultney, Monday. -Our flag was hung at half mast last week in honor of the late President McKinley. -Miss Minnie Edwards of Granville called on Miss Julia Bethel, Monday afternoon. -School was closed last Thursday in order that the teachers and pupils might attend the fair. -Some repairs have been made on the furnace and the old grates have also been replaced by new ones. -The trial of the assassin of the late President McKinley is being followed by the pupils of the high school department. -Our motto for this week is as follows: Count that day lost Whose low descending sun Views from thy height No worthy action done. ________ -Albert Hall of Putnamsville picked a small handful of strawberries in his meadow recently.
