May 22, 1914. WEST RUTLAND, VT. DENNIS COPPS DEAD. West Rutland Man Had Been Seriously Ill For Over A Week. Dennis F. Copps died at the home of his sister, Mrs. D. J. Davine of West Rutland yesterday afternoon, after an illness of several weeks. His condition was not considered serious until about a week ago when he became much worse, small hope being entertained for his recovery for the past few days. The cause of his death was due to a congestion of the lungs together with complications. Mr. Copps was born in West Rutland 49 years ago and has always resided there. He was educated in the public schools and for 25 years prior to 1908 was engaged as salesman for the Vermont Marble company in their store, leaving their employ to engage in business for himself. Besides his sister with whom he made his home he is survived by three brothers, James F. Copps of Talladga, Ala., Michael J. Copps of Schuyler, Va., and William H. Copps of Marble, Col. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. Transcribed by, Joan H.
