Parry was announced. She was taken sick not quite a week before, her illness terminating in pneumonia. Mrs. Parry's maiden name was Jane Roberts, being a   daughter of the late John and Catherine Roberts. Her age was 41 years and nine months. She was born in Llandwrog, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, and came to this country with her parents in 1868. She was married in 1876, and with the exception of a short residence in Indianapolis, Ind., has since lived in South Poultney. By her death a husband and eight children are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. Five brothers and two sisters also survive her: Thomas J. and William Roberts of this place; Robert, of Melvern, O.; John, of Wind[y] Gap, Pa.; Ellis, of Palestine, O.; Jemima, wife of Owen Pritchard, of Delta, Col., and Mrs. Kate Haas, of Palestine, O. The latter and one brother, Robert, of those living at a distance, were present at the funeral. She was a consistent member of the Welsh Presbyterian Church and a true christian, who exemplified her religion in every day life. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon of last week in the Welsh Church, which was filled with relatives and friends, many being present from out of town. Mourning emblems were displayed in memory of the departed, and potted plants adorned the platform...   The services were conducted by Rev. Edward Roberts of Middle Granville [NY] and Rev. John Morris of Slatington, Pa., late pastor of the church. The remains were then borne from the church, and the long procession sadly moved away to the village cemetery, where amid fast falling tears all that was mortal of the loved one was laid to rest, until the 'dawning of the morning.' "Her works do follow her Being dead she yet speaketh." Additional Comments: Mrs. Jane Roberts Parry married Cadwalder W. Parry.
