Crosier of Rutland, Vt. Sun. Jan. 15 Warm. Could not attend church. Mattie telegraphed me 'father just alive, no hope' 9:30 am I am keeping house with the children. Went down to C. Rutland and told Aunt about father this afternoon. Mon. Jan. 16 Fairly warm day. Mattie telephoned me from Green River. Father dead. Died Saturday 8:15 PM two hours after Mattie reached home. I went to Halifax on 2 PM train, reached there 8 o'clock. Left children with Mrs. Pearsons. Tues. Jan. 17 Pleasant day, funeral at West Village Church 11 AM. I went ___ called on father and mother Crosier this morning. Father bured at Whitingham. Mattie & I went to ____ mother drove back, took supper and came home on sleeper arriving Rutland 2 AM. Wed, Jan. 18 Warm pleasant day. Mattie very tired. Uncle Lush remained with mother for few days. Colder tonight. Additional Comments: Children of Milton and Ellen D.
