Poultney March 15, 1957.

OBITUARY
Robert Owen Thomas, 73,
sexton of the Presbyterian
Church and for many years 
sexton of the Poultney cemetery, 
died this morning at his
home here after a lingering
illness. Mr Thomas was born
2-26-1884 in Talysarn, North
Wales, the son of Ann and Owen
Thomas, and came to the United
States 49 years ago.  He is 
survived by his wife the former 
Jane E Perry; two daughters
Mrs Gladys Thomas of Middle
Granville, NY and Mrs Dilys Morris
of Poultney; a son henry of 
Poultney; nine grandchildren,
two sisters in Wales and
nieces and nephews.The body
will be taken from the Roberts
Funeral Home tomorrow to his 
home where friends may call.
Services will be held Monday at
2 P.M. in his home.  The Rev.
John D. Owen of Fair Haven 
officiating.  Burial will be in
Poultney.
