Pension claim #41714, Jane (Thompson) Wheeler, widow of Robert Wheeler. She was 84
on Nov. 11, 1881, died 15 April 1884. Robert died 18 Dec 1859 in Manchester, VT. At
enlistment Sept. 1814; he was age 26, 5'8 or 9". Black hair and eyes. Born in
Groton, Massachusetts [MA].
Jane and Robert married 11 July 1822 in Londonderry, Windham Co., Vt. 

Affidavit in pension file from her brother-in-law, Ira Whitman, husband of her
sister. They lived in Hoosac, Pittstow and Cambridge, New York [NY], and
Londonderry, Grafton, Springfield, Landgrove, Dorset and Manchester, VT. He received
a bounty land warrant #61323 and signed it over to one Chauncey G. Borland of Iowa.
Land warrant #12989 also transferred to Joshua Dial of Iowa [IA].

Letters to unnamed relatives indicate daughters Martha, Abby and Calista. Calista m.
Francis Kilburn of Manchester.
