L. W. COWELL [Morning Star 27 May 1868] BRADBURY, Alvah A. married Lizzie C BARRON both of Orange, VT at East Orange, VT on 31 May by Rev. S. W COWELL [Morning Star 17 June 1868] BUNDY, George died on 19 Feb ae 32y died at Sutton, VT. Has left a widow mother. [Morning Star 20 May 1868] BUZZELL, Eli ae 64y died at Warren, VT 20 Sept 1868, about four years became insane. He experienced religion about 35 years ago and was baptized by Rev. Aaron Buzzell, joining the FWB church in Northfield. Left wife &children. The funeral service was at the Warren River Meeting house on the 22d inst. (reported by Joshua Tucker)[Morning Star 11 Nov 1868] CARROLL, Betsey ae 78y widow Timothy CARROLL died 19 June 1868 at Bakersfield, VT, She was one of the fist members of the Enosburg Quarterly Meeting and one of the first subscribers for the Star. (reported by R Dunn)[Morning Star 30 Sept 1868] CHENEY, William died at Dickinson, Nyof lung disease ae 50y. He was born in Washington, VT and moved to Dickinson, NY was converted and united with the FWB church in 1852. [Morning Star 13 Jul 1868] CRAFT, Washington ae 65y 10m died at Bradford, VT. He was born at Washington, VT and then born again 30 more than 30 yrs ago. He united with the FWB church at E Orange which he sustained till death. His remains were borne to E. Orange, where his funeral was attended. Sermon by O. Shipman [Morning Star 23 Sept 1868] CUMMINGS, Ebenezer died 1 Apr at Middlesex, VT of lung fever ae 94y. He was born at Nottingham, NH and after moved to Weare and lived there until ae 21yrs. Then moved to Washington, VT where he was one of the first settlers of that region. He and his wife were blessed with eleven children. Two whom became ministers: Rev, William CUMMINGS, deceased & Rev. Steadman CUMMINGS of Missouri. Six of his children are still living. (reported by S. W. COWELL)[Morning Star 17 June 1868] DOLLOFF, Sarah w/o Thomas DOLLOFF died at East Charleston, VT on 21 May ae 83y. She was born in Rochester, NH. About 50 yrs since she came to VT, was converted under the labors of Colby and united with the FWB church in Sheffield, VT. After a few years she went to Sutton, VT and remained some time. About four yrs ago, she & her husband moved to Charleston, VT to live with her son, Deacon Thomas L. DOLLOFF. (reported by E. C. SMALLEY)[Morning Star 17 June 1868] HACKETT, Eli S. died at South Royalton, VT on 27 Mar ae 52y. He was the s/o late Rev. George HACKETT formerly of Tunbridge. (reported by M. C. HENDERSON) [Morning Star 13 Jul 1868] HILL, Henry M. died at Starksboro, VT on 3 Mar ae 60y (reported by J. TUCKER) [Morning Star 8 Apr 1868] HODGE, Stephen Deacon died at West Canaan, VT of congestion of the lungs, 12 Apr ae 56y 4m. He was converted in Stewartsown, under the labors of the Methodist, when about 19yrs old. For more than 30yrs was a faithful member and class leader. In 1858 he moved to West Canaan, VT, where he remained until death. Afterwards joined the Freewill Baptist church which he united by letter from the Methodist and was chosen their deacon. (sermon by the writer D. JUDD)[Morning Star 27 May 1868] HUBBARD, E. W. died at Lyndon, VT on 9 Mar after a long illness ae 73y [Morning Star 29 Apr 1868] HUBBARD, L. M. Mrs. of East Burke, VT died on 28 Feb while on a visit to Charleston, VT ae 50y 3m. Her husband was killed instantly by accident while drawing hay, on 1 Jul 1856. They formerly lived in Lyndon & Mrs HUBBARD was a member of the FWB church. The funeral service was held in the Methodist church at East Burk on 1 Mar, conducted by the writer, LBT, assisted by Rev. M Barton, Methodist & Rev M. Joslyn, Cong. [Morning Star 22 Apr 1868] JONES, Loretta M. died in Middlesex, VT., Jul 26 ae 16y 21d. She experienced religion a year ago last June, baptized by Rev. D. H. ADAMS and united with the FWB church in Middlesex. Only a few months ago sister Jones was called to part with a loving daughter, Fanny; an elder daughter will soon follow Loretta. McDONALD) [Morning Star 8 Apr 1868] LEITHHEAD, James P. married Miss Ruth A PATTERSON both of Orange, VT on 21 June at Orange VT by Rev S. W. COWELL [Morning Star 13 Jul 1868] MARTIN, James died at West Pike, PA on 13 Mar ae 80y 8m. Elder. MARTIN was born in Rhode Irland 13 Jul 1787 & moved to VT in 1806, joined the Baptist church in 1807 & then moved to PA in the spring of 1820. He had joined the church in Smithfield & continued as a member until he moved to Potter Co, PA. [Morning Star 17 June 1868] OLMSTEAD, Cornelia N. w/o A. M. OLMSTEAD died on 6 Mar ae 27y of consumption. [Morning Star 20 May 1868] PRESCOTT, Sarah w/o Isaac PRESCOTT died at Lynsdon, VT on 3 Mar ae 73y. They moved from Sandwich, NH to Lyndon, VT many years ago, when settlement here were new & few. They reared a family of 3 sons & one daughter, one of his sons gave is live for his country, The Funeral service was by the writer LBT & Rev. A D SMIYH of Laconia, NH [Morning Star 22 Apr 1868] SARGENT, Jacob P. of Orange, VT married Mrs. Mary C. Richardson of Topsham, VT on 1 Jul by Rev S. W. COWELL [Morning Star 13 Jul 1868] SKINNER, Abigail wid/o Simeon SKINNER died ae 78y at Chelsea, VT on 21 Mar [Morning Star 17 June 1868] SKINNER, Mirza Deacon of St. Albans, VT died 29 Oct 1868 ae 73y 8m, baptized by Rev Samuel Hazelton & joined the church the Freewill Baptist Church on 20 July 1826. He left a wife & six children (repoted by Coffrin) [Morning Star 18 Nov 1868] THAYER, Albert Henry only s/o Alethea & Charles H. THAYER died at St. Johnsbury, VT on 23 Mar 1868 ae 7m 23d [Morning Star 29 Apr 1868] WEEKS, Charlotte E. d/o Mary & William WEEKS died at Lyndon, VT on 3 Apr ae 28y 5m 21d (reported by L. B.
