STATE OF VERMONT ROSTER OF SOLDIERS IN THE WAR OF 1812-14, Prepared And Published Under The Direction Of Herbert T. Johnson, The Adjutant General, 1933, Page 221.
HOLDEN, GILES H., Waterbury.
Volunteered to go to Plattsburgh, September, 1814, and was in the battle, serving 11
days in Capt. George Atkins' Company, 4 Regt. (Peck's).  Also served in Corning's
Detachment, Vt. Militia. Pension Certificate of widown, Susan, No. 21077. (Was a son
of Richard Holden).
