"Corporal Charles L. Stacy of Halifax, Windham County, Vermont, enlisted Sept. 3,
1862, mustered in Oct. 23, 1862, mustered out Aug. 10, 1863 of 16th Regiment,
Company F serving under Captain Henry F. DIX of
Wilmington, VT.

Military engagements:
~Burke's Station, Va., (Repulse of Stuart's Raid), Dec. 28, 1862.
~Catlett's Station, Va., May 30, 1863.
~Gettysburg, Pa., July 1, 2 and 3, 1863."

Additional Comments:
He was my 2 great grand uncle.  Charles L. STACY, son of Eber [Eben] STACY and
Sophie SUMNER, was born 29 Oct. 1836 possibly in Whitingham, Windham Co., VT, m.
1859 Lucy LARRABEE, and he died 2 Dec 1926.
