The Continental Congress passed 5 July 1775, the following Resolution: that a
regiment be raised out of the offiers who served in Canada, on the same terms on
which the regiment, to be commanded by Colonel Dubis, is to be raised; that the
following persons he appointed officers of the said regiment:
Capt. Simeon SMITH...
