BRACKETT Widow of Edward C. Brackett Dies as Result of Shock Mrs. Celia Marie (Fisher) Brackett, 76, widow of Edward C. Brackett, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning in her home at 197 Elliot street. She was in her usual health through the winter and spring, except for some lameness, until she sustained a shock the night of May 28, suffering a second shock the following night. She was one of the three children of George Fisher and Maria (Sanderson) Fisher and was born in Warwick, Mass., Feb. 28, 1848. After finishing school she worked as cook in various Massachusetts towns and villages, also in Manchester, N.H. until her marriage at the age of 18 to William Loveland of Wendell, Mass. Of this union there were four children, of whom only one survives, Mrs. Henry C. Hood of Puyallup, Wash. Her second marriage was to Edward Cobb Brackett of North Eastham, Mass., about 41 years ago and they came from Athol to Brattleboro to live soon afterward. Two daughters and a son were born of this marriage. They are: Miss Grace Brackett, Carl M. Brackett and Miss Ruth M Brackett, all of whom have lived with their mother. Mr. Brackett died June 20, 1909. Besides her daughters and son Mrs. Brackett leaves six grandchildren and five great-granchhildren, also a sister, Mrs. William Putnam of Athol, Mass., and a niece, Mrs. A.J. Lane of Bradford, Mass. She was a member of no organization, but attended the Centre Congregational church.
