DODGE DIES OF UNKNOWN CAUSE ------- Wife of Edwin D. Dodge of 87 Birge Street Fell Several Weeks go -- Autopsy to Be Performed. Mrs. Rose (Megettrick) Dodge, about 51, of 87 Birge street, wife of Edwin D. Dodge, boxmaker for the Estey Organ Co., died at 8;45 o'clock this morning in the Memorial hospital, where she had been since Aug. 31 for observation. She fell while at her work in the pipe organ packing department several weeks ago. The cause of her death has not been ascertained, but an autopsy will be performed today by Dr. Byron E. White. Mrs. Dodge was born in Burlington June 25, about 1873, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bartholomew Megettrick. She came to Brattleboro about 30 years ago and on Nov. 4. of that year, 1894, she married Mr. Dodge. Much of their married life was spent in West Dummerston until they moved to Brattleboro four years ago. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Perley Potter of the Black Mountain road, and Mrs. Edward Wood of Birge street, and a son, Raymond Dodge of 50 Chestnut street; two grandchildren, Kenneth Dodge and Frederick Potter; also her father, who lives in eBurlington, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Cassady and Mrs. Luther Mead of Builington and Mrs. James Murphy of Pawtucket, R.I. Ther also is one niece and one nephew.
