Bond Succumbs to Heart Trouble and Hardening of Arteries--Lived Here 16 Years George N. Bond, 73, a former well known Guilford farmer, died at 9 o'clock last evening in his home at 194 Canal street, of leakage of the heart and hardening of the arteries. He had been in failing health for about six months, failing rapidly for the past two weeks. Mr. Bond was born in Guilford July 6, 1852, and was the last one of a family of seven children born to George W. and Mary E. Bond. He spent his entire life, with the exception of the pat 16 years, in Guilford on the Bond homestead, now owned by E.F. Evans and sons. In 1910 Mr. Bond and his family moved to Brattleboro. On Jan. 29, 1880 he married Miss Anna Nichols of Townshend, who survives with one Carroll N. Bond a well-know florist, and one grandson Kenneth H. Bond. He was devoted to his home and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at the home on Canal street at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
