KAINE DIES IN HER HOME Wife of Former Village Commissioner In Failing Health Past Year -- President of Altar Society. Mrs. Bridget (Moran) Kaine, 71, wife of former Village Commissioner John T. Kaine, died at 10 o'clock last evening in her home at 230 Elliot street. She had been in failing health the past year but had been about as usual until two weeks ago, when her condition became critical. Mrs. Kaine was born in Vernon in September, 1854. Her parents were William and Nora (Brosnahan) Moran, and she was one of a family of seven children. She moved to Brattleboro when a small child, with her parents, and her home had been here since that time. The family lived several years in one of the Bradley cottages above the three bridges at West river, her father being employed during that time as farmer at the Bradley farms. Her marriage to Mr. Kaine took place in Brattleboro, Oct. 10, 1881, Rev. Patrick Cunningham performing the ceremony. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kaine, two of whom survive, Dr. William J. Kaine of Brattleboro and John D. Kaine of Calgary, Alberts. A son, Louis D. Kaine, died in September, 1924. Besides her husband and two sons, she leaves two brother, John E. Moran and Timothey Moran, both of Great Falls, Montana, and one sister, Mrs. John T. Grady of Brattleboro. She also leaves three grandsons, Moran, Frances and Basil children of Dr. and Mrs. Kaine. Mrs. Kaine was president of the Altar society of St. Michael's Roman Catholic churcha nd was one of the founders of the society. She was also a member of Ave Maria Circle, Daughters of Isabella. The death of Mrs. Kaine brings sincere grief to a wide circle of friends, to her neighbors to whom she was always a friend in need, and a loss to her church, for which she worked untiringly and devotedly. Her outstanding charictaristics were those of charity and kindliness. Mrs. Kaine was a devout Christian, and practiced her religion in her everyday life. Funeral services will Be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Michael's Roman Catholic church, Rev. James P. Rand officiating. The burial will be in St. Miahaels' cemetery.
