BARBER DIES IN HOSPITAL Wife of Music Store Proprietor Had Been in Brooklind, Mass., Since Jan. 22--Funeral Wesnesday. Mrs. Anna L. (Allen) Barber, 65, wife of Luther H. Barber, well-known music store proprietor, died Sautrday afternoon in the Deaconess hospital in Brookline, Mass., where she went for observation and treatment Jan. 22, after years of illness during which she courageously resisted a serious malady. She was the only daughter of the late Isaac K. and Adella E. (Stockwell) Allen and was born in Brattleboro July 31, 1860. She graduated from the high school in 1877 under Principal B.F. Bingham. Her untiring efforts were cheerfully and unselfishly devoted to her family and friends while forgetting her trying infirimities. A helpful companion in business and home life was revealed in constant and willing service to them and a wide circle of friends who will cherish her memory. For her first husband, she married Frank Stickney of Brattleboro, who died about three years later. On Oct. 6 1888, she married Luther H. Barber, and their married life was spent here with the exception of a short time when Mr. Barber had a position in Manchester, N.H. for the past 21 years Mr. Barber has conducted a music store here. Mrs. Barber united with the First Universalist church of Brattleboro many years ago. She was also a member of Bingham chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Brattleboro chapter, Daughter of the American Revolution, and Sedgwich Woman's Relief corp. She leaves her husband, two sons, Robert A Stickney of Nashua, N.H. and Scott L. Barber of Brattleboro, a daughter Mrs. Lela A. (Barber) Salomon of Brattleboro , five grandchildren, also her stepmother. The body will be accompanied here from Boston today by Mr. Barber and the funeral will be held at Mitchell's funeral home Wednesday at 2.30 o'clock, Rev. Edwin P. Wood, paster of All Souls church, officiating.
