Moon, 25 of Ira, who was killed Sunday while chopping in the woods, was a son of Milo Moon of Elliot street, Brattleboro, and lived here before going to Ira a few months ago. He married Miss Violet Coombs of Ira. Besides his wife and one small child and his father he leaves three brothers and a sister. They are Clarence Moon of Lexington avenue, fireman on the Central Vermont railroad; Rollin Moon of Church place, employed by the Crystal Springs Ice Co.; Leon Moon of Halifax, who works in Bryan Warren's mill; and Miss Clara Moon, who lives in her father's home on Elliot street. Clarence and Rollin Moon went to Ira yesterday to attend the funeral and burial services this afternoon. Harold Moon was born in Readsboro. He lived most of his life in Wilmington and Brattleboro, his employment while here being by the S.A. Smith Co. of Frost street and at the H.E. Clark woodworking shop in Williams street. The accident to Mr. Moon happened while he and his father-in-law, Elmon Coombs, were working in a sugar orchard which Mr. Coombs had leased. In need of wood to burn, Mr. Moon started to cut down a dead tree.
