HUDSON Wife of Fromer Rural Mail Carrier Dies in North Hinsdale Home Mrs. Leslie C. Hudson, `32, of North Hinsdale died about 9.30 o'clock yesterday morning in the Melrose hospital, where she had been a week. Death resulted from pyemia. Freda (Goodenough) Hudson, who was the eldest daughter of Mrs. W. H. Eddy of West Brattleboro, was born in that place Feb. 6, 1893. She attended school in the Academy building. Her marriage to Leslie C. Hudson of Brattleboro took place April 19, 1911. They began housekeeping in Chesterfield, where they lived a few years. Mr. Hudson was rural mail carrier between Spofford and Brattleboro 12 years. From Chesterfield they moved to Brattleboro and lived for a time on Bonnyvale road and later on Birge street, where they bought a home. A year ago last June they bought the so-called Torrey farm on Hinsdale road, which has since been their home and where Mr. Hudson carries on farming, discontinuing the mail route last July. No children were born to them. Besides her mother and husband, she leaves two half-sisters, Elizabeth and Retha Eddy, and two half-brothers, Bion Eddy and William H. Eddy, all of West Brattleboro. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mitchell's funeral home. Reb. Edwin P. Wood, pastor of All Souls church, will officiate.
