Author: Dana's "The History of Woodstock" 1889, page 105

"William Powers, whose sister James Sanderson had married, and on whose land James
had thus far squatted, or lived as tenant, left Woodstock this same year, 1778, and
moved to Hartford. Thither James must have followed him soon after, and in that town
lived a year or two, where his son Asa was born, July 2, 1780."

Sally [Sarah] POWERS, my 4 great grand aunt, was b. ca 1747, in possibly Greenwich,
Worcester, MA [no proof], m. ca 1767 James SANDERSON [b. ca 1746 in MA] and had a
