K, enlisted Sept. 15, 1862, mustered in on Oct. 23, 1862, and promoted Sergeant Jan. 16, 1863. 2nd Lt. James Tarbell of Springfield, VT, was commissioned on March 16, 1863, issued March 20, 1863 in 16th Regt. Co A, wounded July 3, 1863 [at Gettysburg, PA,] and mustered out of service Aug. 10, 1863.
