Obituary
Nov.4, Robert P. FOSTER, 75, for many years boss weaver in the local woolen mills,
died today at his home. He was born in Quebec December 10, 1859, son of Isaac and
Bridget DILLON FOSTER. The family moved to this village when he was a small boy and
he had since made his home here. On June 18, 1883, he married Miss Gertrude SHEDD of
Perkinsville, Vt., who died several years ago. Mr. FOSTER was a member of Lafayette
lodge of Masons and for more than 50 years had been a member of Mont Sinai lodge of
Odd Fellows. He also belonged to Myrtle Rebekah lodge. He is survived by a sister,
Mrs. Guy SHEDD, who, with her husband, had lived with Mr. FOSTER since the death of
his wife. The funeral will be held at the house Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock,
Rev. G. D. CHILDS of Chester, Vt. officiating. Burial will be in Weathersfield
Plains cemetery.
