Dec.14,1905. CHESTER, VT. PHILO FULLER DEAD . Passes Away at Home of His Daughter in Chester, After Short Illness. Dec. 11--Philo Fuller, one of the oldest and most respected men of the town, died last night, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Volney J. Wood in Factoryville, after a short illness, aged 81 years. He was the oldest member of Olive Branch lodge of Masons, and was the first candidate to take the degrees when the present charter was granted 40 years ago. He was also a member of Sheridan post, G.A. R., at Weston. In 1863 he enlisted in Co. E. 5th Vermont Infantry, and served 18 months, or until the close of the war. Mr.Fuller was born in Eton. He was one of the best known farmers in Andover, where he resided until 11 years ago, when he sold his farm and came here to live with his daughter. The funeral will be held Wednesday and the body will be taken to Simonsville for burial in the family lot. Mr. Fuller leaves three children, Frank H., of Northhampton, Mass., Mrs. Mary Wood of this town, and Ellsworth L. Fuller of Jackson, Mich.
