Deceased was a resident of the Cow Creek lake country. The Washington State Journal and Ritzville Times, Thursday, May 5, 1910, issue Jessie Sims LEONE VALLEY - Miss Jessie Sims, a 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Sims, died on the 19th inst., from measles and pneumonia. This is a great loss to this family, also the neighborhood, as Jessie was a very sweet child and loved by all for her sunny disposition. The Washington State Journal and Ritzville Times, Thursday, June 9, 1910, issue Mrs. Womach Dies At Cheney Mrs. Mandy J. Womach, wife of A. J. Womach, living six miles from town, died suddenly last Saturday evening from heart failure. She had been subject to attacks of this nature, and when Mr. Womach arrived home from town in the evening she complained of feeling somewhat indisposed. He suggested that a doctor be summoned by telephone, but she stated that it was nothing serious, and that it was unnecessary to call a physician. He insisted, however, and a physician from Spangle was summoned. He examined her and stated that she would soon recover, and he made prepartions for leaving. In a few moments she called Mr. Womach and attempted to rise. The end immediately followed and she died in his arms. Mrs. Womach was born in Kentucky on Feb. 22, 1877, and when 12 years of age came to Colfax, Wash., with her parents. She was married to A. J. Womach at Colfax in 1894 and lived in Cheney and vicinity for the past nine years. She leaves a husband, five children, a father, four brothers and one sister. Her father and brothers live in Whitman county, and were present at the funeral. Her children are Beulah, aged 15, Earl, aged 12, Careence, aged 10, Owen, aged 7, and Eunice, aged 5. L. A. Womach and Mrs. Mary Hansen of Ritzville, a brother and sister of A. J. Womach, also were present at the funeral, and also a niece, Miss Annie Hansen. The funeral services were held at the residence at 11 a.m. last Monday, Rev. R. D. Snyder officiating. Interment was at Fairview cemetery.
