She was 85 years old. Rev. Albert Wagner officiated at the services. Interment followed at the Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Virgil Hein, Harold Manke, Howard Manke, Loren Schultz, Bud Maurer and Darrel Evans. Mrs. Becker died in Moses Lake Tuesday, Jan. 5. She was born in Russia Nov. 25, 1874, and came to the Ritzville community in 1907. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Con Hein of Harrington, Mrs. Ruben Derr and Mrs. Walter Thiel, both of Ritzville; three sons, Henry of Ritzville, Fred of Harrington, and Emanuel of Odessa; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services Held for W. Parish Funeral services for Walter W. Parish, who died Friday at his home in Benge, were held from the Danekas Funeral Chapel Monday. He was 77 years old. Interment followed at Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Rev. Alfred Carter officiated. Pallbearers were Herb Kent, Robert Duncan, Charles Saunders, William Allert, Allen Scott, and Charles Clinesmith. Parish was born in Georgia on March 1, 1882, and had lived in the Benge community 51 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret, at the home in Benge; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Morgan of Wapato, and Mrs. Maysel Strawn of Benge; one son, C. N. (Dick) Parish of Benge; one sister, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Last Rites Friday for Richard Vehrs at Danekas Chapel Funeral services for Richard Vehrs, prominent Adams county farmer who had lived all his life in the Ritzville community, will be held Friday, Jan. 15, at the Danekas Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Vehrs died Saturday at the farm home four miles south of Ritzville. He was 42. The Rev. R. W. Rieger will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Vehrs was born May 8, 1917, in Ritzville, and had farmed here all his life. He was a member of the C. J. Newland Memorial American Legion Post in Ritzville and the Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Francis, at the home; his mother, Mrs. Mary S. Vehrs of Spokane; six sisters, Mrs. Alice Olson of Spokane, Mrs. Rosa Russell, Mrs. Virginia Gies and Mrs. Mamie Jacobs of Opportunity, and Mrs. Joan Geschke of Ritzville; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Mamie Iris of Ashville, N.C. Danekas Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Services Held for 'Tucna Lady Mrs. Mary Emily Allan, who had lived in Washtucna for the last year and a half, died Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Adams County Memorial hospital. She was 43 years old. Cremation services were held Tuesday in Spokane. Mrs. Allan was born July 31, 1917, in Washington and had moved to Washtucna in 1958. Surviving are her husband, William, of Washtucna; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Reiser of Ocean City and Mrs. Clark Coma of South Bend. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, January 21, 1960 Services Held for Mrs. Pool Services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Maggie Pool, a long-time resident of the rural Lamont community, at the Sprague Community church. Rev. Richard Temple officiated. Interment followed at the Macabee cemetery in Sprague. Mrs. Pool passed away in St. Ignasius hospital in Colfax Saturday evening. She was 82. She was born in Ceder Falls, Iowa, May 17, 1877, and had lived in the Lamont community the last 55 years. Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Pool was a member of the Henrietta chapter, OES, in Sprague and the Community church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Armstrong of Seattle; two sons, Richard and Austin, both of Lamont; and four grandchildren. Karl Pfenning Service Held Funeral services for Karl Pfenning, a resident of the Ritzville community for the last 40 years, were held Tuesday from the Philadelphia Congregational church. Rev. Herbert Haemmelmann officiated. Interment followed at the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Langenheder, Fred H. Benzel, Dan Hille, Emanuel Pflugrath, Roy Koch and Lawrence Thiel. Pfenning died Saturday in the Adams County Memorial hospital after a lingering illness. He was 73. He was born July 21, 1884, in Russia and came to the United States 52 years ago. During his 40 years in Ritzville he had farmed and had worked for the Ritzville school system for 15 years. He was a member of the Philadelphia Congregational church. He is survived by his wife, Mary, at the home; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Kissler of Wapato. Funeral Service for L. E. Longmeier Held From Church Funeral services were held for Louis Edward Longmeier, a resident of the Lind community for 54 years, at the Lind Lutheran church. He died suddenly in Lind Friday at the age of 72. Rev. Donald Beake officiated at the services. Interment was at the Lind cemetery. Pallbeares were Oliver Abney, John Barnett, Walter Krehbiel, Allen Deaton, Joe Hayes and William Steibeck. Honorary pallbearers were Al Weston, Henry Rott, Edgar Phillips and Sam Pflum. Longmeier was born in Illinois Feb. 5, 1888, and moved to Lind 54 years ago. He was a member of the Lind Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, Mabel, at the home; two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Jensen of Chulivista, Calif., and Mrs. Dale Abney of Hermiston, Ore.; three sons, Wendell, Edwin and Royal, all of Lind; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Irby, Mrs. Freda Dirstine, both of Spokane; one brother, William of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, January 28, 1960 None Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, February 4, 1960 Helena Buscher Services Held Here Monday Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Helena Buscher, an area pioneer who had lived in the Ritzville community 71 years, from the Emanuel Lutheran church. She was 83. Rev. Albert Wagner officiated at the service. Interment was at the Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Floyd Wagenaar, John Buscher, Ed Deking, Art Deking, Dick Stockman, jr., and William F. Stockman. Mrs. Buscher died suddenly Thursday while returning from a visit in the country with some relatives. She was born July 14, 1876,in Peoria, Ill., and moved to the Ritzville area when she was 12 years old. She and her husband, Fred, lived east of Ritzville on a farm until they moved to town in the fall of 1944. He preceded her in death in 1945. Mrs. Buscher was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Carl Van Buren of Lewiston, Idaho, Mrs. Jack Bates of Seattle, Mrs. Lester Luiten of Lamona and Mrs. John Brandt of Douglas; three sons, Henry of Kettle Falls, Edward and Fred, both of Ritzville; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Clodius, Mrs. Myrtle White and Mrs. Mabel Parks, all of Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Al Wagenaar and Jack Wagenaar, both of Portland, Ore., and Paul Wagenaar of Washtucna; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Former Manager Here Buried in Pasco Jan. 28 Word has been received that O. J. Elefson, a former resident of Ritzville, died Monday, Jan. 25, in Pasco. Elefson was a former manager of the Potlatch Lumber company in Ritzville. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 28, in Pasco and interment was there. Funeral Services for Emil Hollan Held in Othello Church Monday CUNNINGHAM - Funeral services for Emil Hollan, 56, were held Monday morning at the Othello Presbyterian church with Rev. LaVern Brassard officiating. Mr. Holland suffered a heart attack Friday morning shortly after reporting for work at the Don Damon ranch and died enroute to the Othello Community hospital. Born Oct. 5, 1903, in Thief River Falls, Minn., Mr. Hollan came to Washington in 1937 and moved to Cunningham in 1938 while employed by the Northern Pacific railroad. A few years later he accepted employment at the Don Damon ranch where he continued to work until his death. He was a charter member of the re-organized Othello Presbyterian church of which he was also an elder and trustee, and a member of the Othello chapter of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his widow, Pauline, one daughger, Anita, and one son, Duane, at the home; a sister, Mrs. Melvin Thompson, Staples, Minn.; a brother, Frank Hollan, Blue Heron, Saskatchewan, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial were held at the Macabee cemetery, Sprague, Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Pallbearers were Louis Rickman, Donald Damon, Ronald Drake, Wesley Kliphardt, Paul Taylor and Lyle Menser. Services Held for 'Tucna Man WASHTUCNA - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Joseph Long, 60, from the Danekas Funeral Home chapel in Ritzville. He passed away Wednesday afternoon near Sprague after a heart attack while being rushed to Spokane. He was one of eleven children, all preceding him in death except one sister, Mrs. B. F. Collier of Garfield. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. J. William Woodworth was soloist and Mrs. F. R. West, jr., organist with Rev. J. William Woodworth officiating. Pallbearers were his nephews, Bernie, Clark, Syd, George and Dan Sullivan and Dwayne Blankenship. Interment was in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, February 11, 1960 Saturday Car Wreck Kills Benge Resident The second traffic fatality in Adams county in two weeks occurred late Saturday night near the Joe Gray farm south of Benge when Harry L. Morgan, 53, failed to make a curve in a little-used farm road and crashed 150 feet down an embankment into a sown wheat field in a pickup. Funeral services for Morgan, who recently had been doing repair work at the Benge elevator company, will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Danekas Funeral home in Ritzville. The Danekas Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. State Patrolman Doug Treichel said Morgan was going north from Hooper on the Joe Gray road when he attempted to make a curve 1.7 miles south of the Washtucna-Benge road and went to the right side over a 150-foot bank. He was trapped beneath the pickup. Morgan's brother-in-law, Nick Kutas, and Walter Little, both of Washtucna, found the wreckage about noon Sunday. When Morgan failed to return to his home in Benge, the two men set out to find him. They notified county sheriff Clint Rowe, and the state patrol when the wreckage was discovered. Treichel said Morgan had taken a man home to Hooper from Washtucna and apparently was on his way home to Benge when the fatality happened about midnight. The headlight switch on the pickup was on, but the battery was dead. None of the occupants of two farm houses about a half mile away had seen the wreckage. Dr. Alfred Carter will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will be at Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Morgan was born near Washtucna July 3, 1907, and had lived in the area most of his life. He was married to Laura Parish June 20, 1954. Mrs. Morgan is teaching now in the Wapato school system. Survivors beside the wife are one daughter, Sister Mary Christine of Spokane; two sons, Phillip of Seattle and Harry, jr., of San Francisco, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Nick Kutas of Washtucna and five grandchildren. He was a member of the Episcopal church and the Masonic lodge at Richmond Beach. Philip Werner Service Held Here Monday Funeral services for John Philip Werner, a resident of the Ritzville community for the last 51 years, were held Monday at the Danekas Funeral chapel in Ritzville. He was 88. Interment was at the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Rev. R. W. Rieger officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Ben Hilzer, Pete Greenwalt, Arlo Verner, Lawrence Hilzer, Vic Hilzer and Arnold Schragg. Mr. and Mrs. Werner had celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Jan. 29. He died in the Adams County Memorial hospital Thursday. Mr. Werner was born in Warrensburg, Russia, April 3, 1871. The couple was married in 1891 and came to Winnepeg, Canada, in 1908. The next year they moved to the Pete Kramer farm near Crab creek. He retired from farming and carpentry work 10 years ago after he underwent an operation. He was a member of the Zion Congregational church. Mr. Werner is survived by his wife, Katie, at the home; three daughters, Mrs. Phillip Kukes of Toppenish, Mrs. Carl Thaut of Ritzville, and Mrs. Bill Koch of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Alex and Ruben of Ritzville; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Last Rites Held In Lind Tuesday for Mrs. Sackmann LIND - Funeral services for Mrs. Wanita Marie Sackmann, a resident of the Lind community for the last 33 years, were held at the Lind Methodist church Tuesday. She was 35. Mrs. Sackmann died Saturday at the home in Lind after a lingering illness. Rev. W. H. Ritchey and Rev. Alfred Carter officiated at the service. Interment was at the Lind cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Phillips, Bill Phillips, Clarence Sackmann, Emil Sackmann, Bob Maier and Ray Fode. Mrs. Sackmann was born in Missouri June 29, 1925, and moved to the Lind community two years later. She was a member of the Margaret Wadsworth chapter, OES, the Priscilla Rebekah Lodge and the Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, Richard, and a daughter, Roxie, at the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Phillips of Lind, two sisters, Mrs. Jack Damon of Lind and Mrs. Hal Miller of Tacoma. Mrs. Edith Kurth Funeral Service Held Here Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Edith A. Kurth were held at the Emanuel Lutheran church Friday with Rev. Albert Wagner officiating. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Kurth died Wednesday, Feb. 3. Interment was at the Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Langenheder, Ed Tesch, Richard Dehnel, Lee Krehe, S. J. Williams and Paul Reiman. Mrs. Kurth was born April 4, 1888, in Minnesota and had lived in the Ritzville community 34 years. Her husband, Louis, preceded her in death last year. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Annie Kurth of Grand Coulee and Mrs. Rose Vehguts of Wisconsin. Mrs. Fred West Passes HATTON - Private graveside services for Mrs. Fred (Gene) West of Condon, Ore., formerly of Walla Walla and Connell, were held Monday afternoon Feb. 8, at the Mountain View cemetery in Walla Walla with the Rev. Randy Midleton of the Congregational church at Condon officiating. Mrs. West died Thursday, Feb. 4, at St. Mary's hospital in Walla Walla after a three month illness. She is survived by her husband, Fred, at the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Kathleen) West of Arlington, Ore., Susan West at the home; a son, Jim, at the home; mother, Mrs. J. H. Stine of Connell; brother, J. Warren Stine of Connell; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Stine Campbell of Connell and Mrs. Richard Kelsey; two grandchildren, Randy and Holly West of Arlington, Ore., and nieces and nephews. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, February 25, 1960 None Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, March 3, 1960 Funeral Today for Mrs. Sell of Washtucna WASHTUCNA - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Agnes Sell at the Smith Funeral Home in Spokane Thursday (today) at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wilbur J. Antisdale officiating. Cremation will follow. Mrs. Sell passed away Monday morning, Feb. 29, after being in poor health the last five or six years. She was 82. Mrs. Sell was born May 21, 1878, at High Point, N.C. She was united in marriage to J. Henry Sell in 1896 and came west in 1900 as later pioneers of the west. They traveled from Bellingham to the eastern side of the mountains in a covered wagon. They were in many towns in the space of a few years, including Yakima, Union Gap, Waterville, Soap Lake, where they opened their first store, Winona and Hooper before taking up a homestead in Franklin county in 1913. They moved to Washtucna in 1920 to send the children to high school. Mr. Sell died in 1941. Mrs. Sell belonged to the Washtucna Community church and for many years was active in the missionary society and the Ladies Aid. She joined the Rebekah lodge in 1926 and was Noble Grand in 1933 and district deputy in 1935. In 1946 Mrs. Sell donated and deeded a piece of her property to start the Palouse Falls state park and also donated right-of-way through her property. The main part of the park picnic area and the main sight-seeing area is on property donated by Mrs. Sell. All of her nine children are living. They are Mrs. Fern Holliday, Washtucna; Mrs. Flora Middendorf, Burlington; Mrs. Flavel Cameron, Washtucna; Forrest Sell, Majava, Calif.; Mrs. Grace Laramore, Elmira, Calif.; Harold Sell, Majava, Calif.; Mrs. Nora McNicholas, Tacoma; Francis Sell, Modesta, Calif.; and Mrs. Ava Heath, Lakeport, Calif. Twenty-two grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren also survive her. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, March 10, 1960 Funeral Services Held Yesterday for Beatrice Yates Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Shaw Yates, a Ritzville resident for 16 years, were held at Emanuel Lutheran church. She was 86. Rev. Albert Wagner officiated at the service followed by interment at the Lutheran cemetery in Ritzville. Pallbearers were Walter Teske, Paul Teske, Frank Schwisow, W. E. Scheel, Lester Pfannekuchen and August Sielaff. Mrs. Yates was born in Stainland, England, Oct. 22, 1873. She died Saturday. She had lived in the United States nearly 80 years and moved to Ritzville 16 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church and the Women's Relief Corps. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Teske, Ritzville, and Mrs. J. B. Purchase, Spokane; one sister, Mrs. E. Carpenter, Ritzville; one granddaughter, Mrs. James Phillips, Helena, Mont.; one grandson, John Winston Purchase, Vista, Calif.; and one niece. Service Held for Mrs. Oyler of Washtucna WASHTUCNA - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Oyler, a long-time resident of Washtucna, were held Monday at the Community church. Interment followed at Riverside Park cemetery in Spokane. Mrs. Oyler was manager and operator of the Washtucna telephone exchange for over 30 years. She had served as secretary of the order of Eastern Star, treasurer of the church and had taught a Sunday school class for a number of years. She was a charter member of the Washtucna Ladies of the Round Table club and was chosen for the group's "Hall of Fame" at a district meeting in Colfax in 1954. Mrs. Oyler was living in Sacramento, Calif., at the time. She was born Jan. 14, 1867, near Alpha, Mo., and was the oldest child of John and Mary Price. She was graduated from the Trenton, Mo., high school in 1890. Early in life she joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church and had belonged to the Community church since about 1920. She married William Henry Oyler Aug. 20, 1893. Two sons, Maurice Wesley and Vern William, were born to the couple. Survivors besides the sons are three grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, March 17, 1960 Funeral Today for John Hille in Ritzville Funeral services for John Frederick Hille, 65, retired Ralston wheat farmer and long-time resident of the Ritzville area, will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Zion Congregational church. Rev. Herbert Haemmelmann will officiate. Burial will be at the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Emil Hille, Ruben Hille, Everett Hille, Boyd Hille, Herb Sackmann and Alvin Hille. Honorary pallbearers will include Robert Erwin, William Strohmaier, Ben Van Buren, Carl Heinemann, Albert Wolsborn and Alfred Suko. Hille died Monday from a heart ailment. He was born Nov. 29, 1894, in Kulm, N.D. He came west with his family when he was four years old and his parents homesteaded near Ralston. He married Salome Doering April 17, 1918, and the couple had two children, John C. and Annette. She passed away Nov. 9, 1945. Hille was remarried March 10, 1949, to Emma Kison and she died Nov. 17, 1957. He retired from farming four years ago and moved to Ritzville. He was a member of the Ritzville Lions club, the Ralston Grange, the Ritzville Gun club and the Philadelphia Congregational church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Emerson of Lind; one son, John C. Hille of Ritzville; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Sackmann of Ritzville; two brothers, Daniel of Ritzville and Emanuel of Walla Walla; two granddaughters and one grandson. Services Held for Local Man Funeral services for Robert Kramer, a lifetime resident of Ritzville, were held Tuesday at the Danekas chapel in Ritzville. Rev. Albert Wagner officiated. Interment was at the Lutheran cemetery. Kramer died suddenly in a friend's home Saturday. He was 60 years old. He was born Sept. 20, 1900, in Washington. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church. Surviving is a brother, William, of Spokane. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, March 24, 1960 B. Stephenson Dies Suddenly Last Saturday Benjamin Franklin Stephenson, a resident of the Benge area for many years, died suddenly Saturday afternoon in a Corvallis, Ore., hospital from a heart attack. The son of William B. and Ella L. Mason Stephenson, he was born Aug. 21, 1892, at Colfax where he was reared and received his early education. He later attended Eastern Washington College of Education at Cheney and Washington State University at Pullman. He was married to Elda Thew on May 2, 1915, at Spokane. After their marriage the couple moved to Benge where they owned an operated a wheat and cattle ranch. When Stephenson retired in 1948, they moved to Corvallis where they have made their home. Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Episcopal church in Ritzville Tuesday with Rev. Charles S. Neville of Corvallis officiating. Interment was in the family plot at the Ritzville cemetery. Services were conducted by the McHenry Funeral home of Corvallis. Conrad Fink Services Held Funeral services were planned today for Conrad Fink of Odessa, a former resident of Ritzville, who died Monday. The funeral will be at the Christ Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Fink was born June 3, 1883. He was married to Annie Stumpf in 1905. She preceded him in death in January 1934. Two sons also preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, Reuben of Odessa, Sam of Espanola, Harry of Pasco; four daughters, Mrs. Joe Gering of Ritzville, Mrs. Reinhold Kuest of Odessa, Viola Fink of Odessa and Mrs. Arnold Bierman of Bellevue; one sister, Mrs. Anna Ramon of Waterville; two brothers, Carl Walsborn of Chelan and Fred Fink of Walla Walla; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Gerhard Dyck Held Wednesday Funeral services were held yesterday for Gerhard Henry Dyck, a resident of the Schrag and Lacrosse areas for many years at the Menno Mennonite church. Rev. Lester Janzen and Rev. P. D. Unruh officiated at the service. Interment was at the Mennonite cemetery. Dyck died Saturday at the Adams County Memorial hospital after a lingering illness. He was 65. He was born near Beatrice, Neb., Feb. 18, 1895, and moved to Washington in 1902, pioneering near Schrag. In 1930, he moved near Lacrosse and farmed until his health failed. Baptized at the Menno Mennonite church in 1930, Dyck moved his membership to the Onecho Mennonite church in Colfax in 1930. Pallbearers included Leonard Franz, Clint Dyck, Rudy Claassen, Clint Claassen, Percy Schrag and Bert Scruggs. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Justina Schragg of Moses Lake, Mrs. Agatha Franz of Lind and Mrs. Helen C. Schragg of Moses Lake; two brothers, Frank and Henry Dyck, both of Ritzville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ritzville Journal-Times, Thursday, March 31, 1960 H. A. Krueger Services Held Here Monday Funeral services for Herman August Krueger, a Ritzville resident for 33 years and long-time employee of the Northern Pacific railway, were held Monday in the Chapel of the Danekas Funeral Home. Rev. Albert Wagner officiated at the service in Ritzville and Rev. F. J. Ahrendt officiated at the burial at the Riverside Park cemetery in Spokane. Pallbearers were William Rosenoff, Ernest Ziemer, Herbert Beckley, Walter Nissen, Richard Kembel and P. J. Reddie. Krueger died Saturday in the Adams County Memorial hospital. He was 90 years old. He was born in Germany, May 15, 1869, and came to the United States at the age of three. His family lived a short time in Ohio then moved to Tomah, Wis., where he grew up and received his education in elementary school. He chose railroading as his life's work and helped to construct the first telegraph line built by the Great Northern railway from St. Paul, Minn., to Everett. Later he worked for the Northern Pacific 27 years before retiring in 1938. Krueger was married to Wilhelmina Fuglede Oct. 9, 1898, in Duluth, Minn., at the home of her sisters, Mrs. A. Nielsen, who now lives in Ritzville. His wife passed away March 22, 1926. The family came to Ritzville in 1912 and in 1916 moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. He returned to Ritzville in 1927 and had lived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ott since then. He was a member of the Lutheran church, F&AM Lodge No. 101 in Ritzville, Zenith Chapter, OES, and the Calam Shrine Temple in Lewiston, Idaho. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John Ott; three granddaughters, Mrs. Edwin Kiehn of Ritzville, Mrs. Ardys Golden of Formosa and Mrs. Jeanette Burford of Bainbridge, Island; one foster son, J. Robert Krueger of Wenatchee; and eight great-grandchildren.
