HORSE HEAVEN HILLS CEMETERY, Benton County, Washington

This cemetery is found in a remote location in the midst of acres of 
wheat fields on the Horse Heaven Hills above Prosser, WA.  The earliest 
grave found dated to 1893 when this area was first settled.  There 
appears to be room for many other grave sites and many may well have been 
relocated to the East cemetery in Prosser and it is recommended you check 
there as well.  To find this cemetery, follow SR 221 south out of Prosser 
heading to Paterson.  At approximately 17 miles turn left (east) onto 
Cemetery Rd.  WARNING:  This is little more than a gravel trail at 
times going between wheat fields.  PLEASE BE AWARE these fields are 
highly flammable in the summer, do not park your car in dry weeds or 
wheat and ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING!  The cemetery is 6 miles down this road 
on the right.
