WENATCHEE (AP) - "I love you Debbie," the Wenatchee Daily World told Debbie Whaley
Friday in a front page headline. Her husband, Spec. 4 Wendell Whaley, wrote from
Vietnam, asking that the newspaper relay the message in an ad. "She knows, of
course, that I love her," Whaley wrote, "but I wish there was some way I could
tell her other than by letter." So the newspaper relayed the message free of charge.
