A.U. Davis Dies at Victoria, and Is Buried Yesterday at Dungeness Mr. Alonzo U. Davis, one of the earliest of the pioneer settlers who developed the now famous Dungeness section of Clallam County. died in Victoria, B.C., where he had resided for the past few years on Wednesday, at an advanced age. The remains were taken to Dungeness by way of Port Townsend, and the funeral occured at the formed place yesterday. The services were in charge of the Port Townsend lodge F. & M. M. Until quite recent years, Mr. Davis was one of the most active and energetic as well as progressive and public spirited of our pioneer residents. He served the county as Commissioner from the First District in 1890-2.
