Both above notices must remain when copied or downloaded. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Gardner Cemetery is located approximately 5 miles northeast of Woodland,Wa on Rd. # 16. At the entrance to the cemetery is a large monument with an inscription that reads: Gardner Cemetery. This monument in memory of the Daniel White Gardner Family who settled here May 9, 1853, established Hayes P.O., 1876, furnished the leadership site and bell for Gardner Chapel, 1889, and platted this ceme- tery in 1900. Erected by grandsons, Curtis and Oliver 1964. Now owned and cared for by Cemetery Distict No.5,1963.. * Has been known as Hayes Cemetery also. This cemetery was transcribed by physically walking through and transcribing each stone. There are several headstones that have been wind and weather worn and are unreadable.
