A brother of Rev.Huston,from idaho,is visiting here. H.Y.Buhman,of Iowa,arrived here last week and will make his hom ein this section.He is a carpenter and is a brother to the Buhman brothers of this place. Mr.Asher,north of town,has sold his ranch to parties from east of the .Mr.Asher will make a trip to Illinois this fall,returning about the close of the year. The Reverend Mark Noble of Camas,Wash.,who has been visiting his daughter,Mrs.C.E.Happersett in this city,delighted the audiences in the first Baptist church yesterday with two able sermons.Mr.Noble was converted and educated under the ministry of Charles Hardon Spurgeon and bears some resemblance to that noted man. His visit is proving delightful to him and is leaving most happy impressions upon all who chance to meet him. LaGrande Observer. Sunday Aug.30th,was Miss Alice Asher's last Sunday at her old home on the farm,and a party of her firends celebrated the occassion by eating a chicken dinner with her there,after which an enjoyable afternoon was spent.Those present were the Misses Theresa and Mabel Hilstrom,Bertie Neill and Messr. Wm.Neill,Basil Yeatman and Errol Moore from Vancouver;Mr.Fred Warner from Oregon City;Misses Bbrown and Gertrude Farrell,Messrs. Frank Brown,oe Brearly and Clarence Asher from Camas.
