Eugene Ginder and Miss Arlie Woods went to White Salmon yesterday,they will return today. Lew Vogel has sold his dairy farm at Sykes and moved his family to Portland,where he will make his home. May Engelson returned from the Ellsworth Sunday where she has been teaching school for her sister who was sick. Katie Nagel won the prze at the beeson show mOnday night for the Most Popular Young lady,Chas.Durgan got the pig and Albert Durgan got the homely man's prize. Mr. and Mrs. R.W.Loe returned to Centerville,Wash.,Wednesday. They have bought a lot in the Bybee trac and have let the contrac fora cottage to be built upon it at once.They will return here in October to make this their home. Mr. and Mrs. A.A.Furman,of Victoria,British Columbia,visited their son,W.Furman,here this week.They were met here by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rawn,of Brookfield,Mo.,Mrs.Furman and Mrs.Rawn are sisters. Miss Josie Johnson left for Minnehaha Friday,where she will teach school this winter. Mr.Cowlis of Yakima is visiting her daughter,Mrs.Hill. Geroge Campen,Rudolph Kasser and Otto Acker will attend the Satte College at Pullman State this year. Henry Stoops and wife of Portland are visiting relatives and friends here. J.A.Hart made a business trip to Portland Tuesday,returning Wednesday. H.H.Rosengurg,one of the men interested in the bank to be organized here,arrived from Aberdeeen Thurday evening.He says work on the building will be started Monday.The building will be erected instead of concrete as at first intended. J.H.Rosenberg and O.F. Johnson,the others interested in the bank will arrive with their families in a few days,and will occupy the Crown Columbia company's houses on th ehill.The bank will be open for business by November 1.
