C.E.Stanton and wife have occupied a tent house on Fifth street, two blocks east of Burton. Miss Barbour, who has been employed at the Bakery has accepted a position with Swank & Co. Mrs. G.O.Mercer and two daughters will arrive from the east the first of next week and join Mr.Mercer here. They will occupy the house recently vacated by Dr.Barkman. Mrs.Hannah McGraw, of Tacoma, is quite ill at the home of her sister, Mrs.Haffey. Mrs. Mcgraw has been here since July but has been in poor health so much of the time that she has been unable to return home. Henry E.Reed, director of exploitation of the Alaska Yukon Pacific exposition since August 13,1906, has resigned. He severed his connection with the eposition last Friday, and I.A. Nadeau, director general of the exposition, ws instructed by the executive commitee to take charge of the office pending the ppointment of a successor or a reorganiztion of the department.
