Last Sunday was the 70th anniversary of the birth of Pinkney Blair Sr., and a large number of his children, grandchildren, and friends gathered at his home at harmonmy to celebrate the occassion. At noon a sumptous feast was served. Car. C.Dansforth, stepson of G.W.Cole of Fisher, is in jail at Vancouver, awaiting the return of the district judge, when he will be charged with incorrigibility. When arrested at school he was carrying a revolver wrapped in a silk necktie. He had threatened to kill Mr. Cole and will probably be sentenced to the State Reform School. Kelley Loe has bough the Geo. Beetsch place adjoining town on the west. James Haffey,of Stevenson, visited his brother,Wm. Haffey, here this week. The Stevenson council granted an electric light franchise Tuesay evening to Samson & Orsen. Myron Beagle, who has been in San Francisco fro some time will be married to a young lady of that state in the near future. Chas.Pound returned home from British Columbia this week. He has recently undergone a siege of typhoid, ut is now rapidly regaining his health. W.H.Crawford, a mechanic from near Glasgow,Scotland,arrived Wednesday, and is visiting his uncle, H.Crawford,. He will make his home in Camas, ans take a place in the Crown Columbia mill.
