Mr. and Mrs. Amos Pace seperated when the girl was two years old. The mother received the custody of the baby and reared her. The father drifted to other states, finally coming West, and six years ago, sttled on a farm near Manor. The girl grew to womanhood and married A. Miller, and they have been living at Colmbus,Ohio. Recently she learned her father was in the West, and she started a search by mail for him, finally discovering him in this county. Overjoyed at learning his only child was living, Mr. Pace asked her to come at once, and with her husband, she boarded the first train West. She arrived in Vancouver late Friday night and Saturday morning went to the Pace farm for a happy reunion with the father she had never known. He had been looking for their arrival, and when the automobile stopped at the gate Mr. Pace came out. Miller said to Mr. Pace, "Well, Mr.Pace, this is Ida and I'm her husband."
