Beveridge of Prune Hill, and Miss Lee, who are atteng the Mill Plain High School and who drive there daily, had a narrow escape from serious injury Wednesday afternoon, when on their way home. The horse became frightened, and the bit accidentally breaking, the young ladies lost control of the thoroughly maddened animal, and decided to jump. They did so, Miss Beveridge striking her head and shoulder and spraining her back, while her companion fell on her face, escaping with a few contused wounds. The horse and buggy were uninjured.
