There are laws provided fro the restriction of every branch of business, and if I am elected it will be my earnest endeavor to keep every industry in the town confined within the limits of those laws, and I think I am one of a large majority who believe that it would be just as injurious to the welfare of the town to attempt to introduce the old "holier than thou" blue laws as it would attempt to tolerate a violation of the laws above mentioned. I do not wish, by this, to make it appear that there will be any attempt to make a Puritanical community of Camas, whatever the issue, but what I shall aim at. if elected, will be a happy medium between two extremes, with that liberality of view necessary to the growth and development of any community.
