State Senator
I take this means of announcing that I will be  a candidate for the nomination 
of State Senatorb at the primary election to be held September 8th,1908.
In making this announcement it is but fair and just to the voters of Clarke 
County to state that I stand squarely upon both the State and National 
platforms as adopted by the Republican party,especially those sections of the 
state platform which refer to local option and the party choice of United 
States Senator by direct primary vote.
I am a firm believer in the integrity of the American people,and am in favor 
of such laws as will best carry out their wishes in all public affairs.
If elected,it shall be my earnest effort to labor for and support such 
legislation as will be of benefit to the state and county,and at all times to 
serve the people of Clarke County faithfully and honorably.
