A very interesting Alter society meeting was held at the home of Mrs. A.M.Curtin last week.They had an election of officers and planned a card party to be given at the hom eof Mrs.Lockwood on January 15.Refreshments will be served and a good time is promised for all who attend. We are glad to hear Miss Rose McKenny,who had had scarlet fever,is improving and will soon be out of quarantine. The monthly meeting of granger was held Saturday evening.Several new member were intitiated,a good supper and a general good time for all prrsent. Mrs.A.M.Curtin and daughter,Frances,helped make up a party who attended the midnight matinee at the Baker theatre,New Year's Eve. Mr. and Mrs.Joe Augee were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mr.Quinalt at Sifton,last Sunday.
