Luncheon was served ny Mrs. I.W. Cole and Mrs. Kelly Loe, and afterward the old people indulged in the parlor games in vogue a half century ago. Pinkney Blair, in an extemporaneous speech eulogized the verterans and their wives. An interesting feature of the affair was that among the veterans present there were seven whose combined ages totaled considerably over five hundred years. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent and Mr. and Mrs. Loe were most heartily congratulated. R.W.Loe and Mary Thomas were married in Mercer county,Mo.,January 20, 1863, Mr. Loe having just been discharged from three years service as volunteer. Mr. and Mrs. Loe lived in Mercer and Harrison counties,Mo., until about ten years ago, when they came to the coast. Those present were Pinkney Blair Sr., Mr. and Mrs. J.W.Stanton, T.H.Reed, Mrs. Wallin and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Tillotson, Mr. and Mrs. J.T.Morris, G.W. Gordon, Mrs. Joseph Ernst, Mrs. C.C.Caswell, Mrs. David Sheekey, Fred Palmer,Anita Palmer,Mr. and Mrs. J.B.Miller, Mr. and Mrs. L.W.Cole,Mr.J.J. Gallagher, Mrs. Ella Champlin, Mrs. Anna Tidland, Mrs. A.Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. kelley Loe.
