Vancouver Independent August 23, 1906
Deputy auditor M.B.Kies and afmily have returned home from Ocaen Park.

George Schuele has returned to school at Stanford University.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Crawford, of Ft.Seward,Alaska, Aug.13, a girl.

Miss Kate Fauble, of this city, is psending a vacation with friends in Portland.

Mrs.S.A.Reed, and daughter Blanche,are at Long Beach for a week's outing.

Mr. and Mrs.W.E.Elwell, of Kelso,Wash., are visiting in this city with 
relatives.

Mr. and Mrs.F.M.Butterfield returned yesterday from their outing at Ocean Park.

Mrs.Laura Crawford left last Tuesday evening for Dresden,Germany where she will 
finish her musical education.

Mrs.Clara Haven, and daughter, Belle Haven, have gone to 
Marysville,Calif.,where they will spend the winter.

Rev.Robert Yeatman will return from Oysterville in time to conduct the ususal 
services at the Baptist church next Sunday.

Dr.Paul West has returned from Seattle where he has been visiting his wife and 
baby, who are spending the summer with relatives.

Mrs.A.Wise and B.A.DeYarman have sold their lots on the levee below Fourth 
street to the Portland and Seattle Railway Company. The prices paid were in the 
neighborhood of $750 per lot.

Lieutenant and Mrs. John P. Hanson, of Jefferson Barracks,Mo., are visiting in 
this city with Captain and Mrs.P.Hansen.Lieutenant Hanson was in the hospital 
at Washington D.C., for four weeks, where he was operated upon for appendicitis.
