Mr. and Mrs. A.J.Kocher recently spent a week visiting relatives in Portland. J.P. McQueen spent Thursday and Friday with his father and brothers at Mill Plain. A business meeting of the Epworth League will be held at the home of A.W. Stebbins Friday evening. The Adventist meeting, which was conducted at the school house by C.A. Wyman, closed Sunday evening. Mrs.Petrain returned home Friday after spending more than a week with relatives in Vancouver and Portland. Rev. J.F. Mobley, of Proebstel, spent Saturday night in this vicinity and preached at the church at 11 a.m. Sunday. Walter Cooper and son, Glen, returned home the first of the week after spending a week at their nursery near Vancouver. Mrs. Asa Blair spent a few days last week at the home of her brother, Frank Welch, while Mr. Blair was doing some plowing there. There was no school here Monday and Tuesday as the principal, Mr. Reynolds, had to be in Vancouver as a witness in the Tower case, which was begun on Saturday. Pinkney Blair,jr., of Camas, is making quite an improvement in the looks of his place near the church, by cutting the second growth fir trees and slashing the underbrush.
