Mr. Reynolds and daughter spent the week end at their home in Vancouver. Irvin Chappelle, of Vancouver, was in this vicinity last Sunday. He formerly lived here. Mr. Hartson is suffering with a very badly swollen arm, presumably blood pisoning. Mrs. D.C. Whitmore visited relatives and friends in Camas a few days the first of the week. Cassie Flynn and Lester Barton have been doing some slashing for Orion Flynn near Sifton. Mrs. Thos. Brown spent a few days last week in Portland, where she went for medical treatment. C.A.Wyman, of Meadow Glade, was in this vicinity the first of the week holding services. Mrs.E.M. Strunk, of Harmony, called on her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brunner, Sunday afternoon. Etta and Esther Newquist and Neta Edwards spent the weekend with their parents, returning to Camas Sunday evening. Claude Barton got a piece of steel in his eyes last week while splitting cord wood. Dr. Urie removed it and Claude is getting along very well. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stephenson and Elmer Kocher visited Saturday and Sunday at the home of Mrs. Grace Hurrell on Government Island. Mrs.James Lee and baby, of Vancouver, are staying at the home of her brother, R.H. Dorman, while Mr. Lee is visiting relatives in Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper M.Blair, of Woodlawn,Ore., who lived at this place many years, are visiting friends and relatives here this week. After an absence of more than nine years, they find many changes in the neighborhood. Rev. J.F.Mobley preached a very inspiring sermon last Sunday morning from the text,"What Seek Ye." He will peach next Sunday ecening at 8 o'clock. Subject: "Why We Keep Sunday." Everybody cordially invited to attend all services.
